About us
The Institute of Child Health (ICH), Chattogram Maa-O-Shishu Hospital, is a leading postgraduate institution dedicated to excellence in pediatric education, residency training, clinical care, and research in Bangladesh.
Founded by the late Professor Dr. Shahadat Hossain, Founder and First Director of ICH, the institute began its journey with a vision to advance child health education and develop skilled pediatric healthcare professionals.
Since 1997, ICH has been conducting the Diploma in Child Health (DCH) postgraduate program. The 29th batch is currently ongoing, with 157 doctors having participated in the program and 120 successfully completing their postgraduate training.
ICH also offers the MD (Pediatrics) postgraduate residency program, providing structured training focused on advanced clinical skills, academic excellence, evidence-based practice, and research.
With a strong commitment to academic excellence, professional development, compassionate care, and research, ICH continues to contribute to the advancement of child healthcare and the development of skilled pediatricians for Bangladesh and beyond.
