About ICH
The Institute of Child Health (ICH), Chattogram Maa-O-Shishu Hospital, is dedicated to child healthcare through education, training, and specialized services.
Founded by the late Prof. Dr. Shahadat Hossain, ICH has been offering DCH and MD (Pediatrics) programs to train skilled pediatric specialists since 1997.
Recognized by BM&DC and BCPS, the institute also provides FCPS Part-II training in Pediatrics and other subspecialties.
Message from the Director – CMOSH–ICH
At the Institute of Child Health (ICH), Chattogram Maa-O-Shishu Hospital, we prioritize the health and development of every child. Our Department of Pediatrics offers DCH (Diploma in Child Health) and MD (Pediatrics) programs, providing structured, high-quality training to develop clinical competence and professional excellence.
Our library and other educational facilities are always available to students. The courses are conducted in morning and afternoon sessions to ensure flexible and effective learning. We ensure that every student receives the guidance and support needed to acquire professional skills and clinical expertise.
Our mission is to train competent and responsible pediatric specialists who can contribute to improving child healthcare in Bangladesh. ICH remains committed to building a healthier future for children.
